• Resumen

  Este artículo analiza el papel estratégico que jugaron los ingenieros civiles en los proyectos de transformación y articulación del territorio del Perú en el siglo XIX. Estudia también aspectos clave de su imaginario, tanto económico como social y la importancia que adquirieron en el campo político, y de los negocios, gracias a su estrecha vinculación con el aparato estatal en construcción.

• Abstract

  This article analyzes the strategic role played by civil engineers with regard to the land reallocation & transformadon projects associated with the territory of Perú in the 19"' Century. It also studíes key aspects about their imaginary, both in cconomic and social terms, as well as the importance which they acquired in the political and business fields, thanks to their cióse links with the state apparatus that was being built.
